The Rose Project

Our wonderful Carsington & Hopton Gardeners have installed a new rose bush display on the Village Green adjacent to the Bug House. The roses were known to grow in the school garden during WWI and hence will be a pretty memorial for villagers who have lost loved ones in conflict. The project was supported through the Carsington Pastures Windfarm Grant scheme.

Bird Feeders

We have installed new bird feeders on the Village Green to attract our feathered friends and help improve the biodiversity of villages. Alongside the feeders, a new lockable storage bench has been installed which will ensure feed is properly managed so that we do not attract any unwanted wildlife. Thanks to Councillor Edmiston for organising.
