Boundary Review Consultation
A public consultation inviting proposals for new council divisions and division boundaries for Derbyshire County Council.
The consultation will close on 17 July 2023.
After DCC have considered all representations made to us during this consultation, they intend to publish draft recommendations in October 2023.
They will then hold a further period of consultation on our draft recommendations. Final recommendations are expected to be published in March 2024.
The new electoral arrangements will come into effect at the local elections in May 2025.
What is an electoral review?
Our electoral review will recommend new electoral arrangements for Derbyshire County Council. We will propose:

the total number of councillors elected to the council in the future;

the number of divisions;
-
the number of councillors representing each divisions;

division boundaries; and
-
the names of divisions.
Next Meeting
The next meeting of the Parish Council will be held on Monday 22 May 2023 at 7pm in St Margaret's Church.
Road Closures
1) Millfields Car Park - Temporary Road Closure To Facilitate Emergency Planning Exercise
WHEN: 16th May 2023 to 18th May 2023
WHERE: Unnamed road from Carsington Visitors Centre to Millfields car park, Carsington for a distance of 2 kilometres between entrance to Sailing Club and entrance to Millfields car park, Carsington Reservoir.
REASON: To facilitate Emergency Planning exercise.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: B5035, Ashbourne Road, Porter Lane, Steeple Grange, Cromford Road, Harrison Drive, St John Street, Derby Road, B5023 Wirksworth Road, A517 Main Road, Dog Lane, Gibfield Lane, Millfields Lane and vice versa.
Reason: :replace 2 BT Poles
